Footballing dreams came true last week as The Wishing Well pub team secured their place at the BT Sport Pub Cup final at Wembley!
This season, 64 men’s and 64 women’s teams were given the opportunity to represent their pub and after weeks of games and regional heats, The Wishing Well came out on top.
Team Wishing Well were confident as they headed to the Etihad Stadium, home of Manchester City, to compete against the winners of the regional heats. Amazingly, they topped their group with three wins and went on to win their final game against Cardiff pub, ‘The Park Hotel’ with a 2-0 victory!
The Wishing Well will face Kent’s ‘The Bulls Head’ in this year’s final on Friday 18th November at Wembley Stadium – WOW!

“We’re absolutely buzzing that the lads have made it to the final!! We were never in any doubt they would do well as they’re such a strong team, but to make it Wembley and play there is what dreams are made of!
