The Talbot in Euxton has undergone a 150k refurbishment, transforming it from community pub to premium local.
The front of the pub has been repainted, freshening up the pub and giving it fantastic curb appeal. A wooden picket fence has been added around the perimeter of the pub and stylish Azulejo tiles replace tired flagstones giving it a real Mediterranean feel, perfect for alfresco drinking and dining.
At the rear, the beer garden has been extended and fixed wooden seating booths have been built allowing for a larger capacity outdoors. Further seating has been added close to the children’s play area where adults can enjoy a drink in the sun while watching their children play safely.
The interior of the pub now looks like nothing else in the area – it’s spectacular. Professional graffiti artists ‘Urban Gypset’ came all the way from Cornwall to spray paint artwork onto all the walls. Foliage and flowers have been added to the ceilings and the Mediterranean tiling has been carried through from outside, giving it that rustic and fresh vibe.
Other changes include the introduction of stone-baked pizzas, a staged area for entertainment and a complete overhaul of all the exterior signage, including a new logo designed by Preston based company ‘CSI Signage’.
Despite its complete transformation, it is still accessible to all the locals and Euxton community and popular things such as live TV sport and the weekly quiz remain, as well as the pool table and darts board in the vault area of the pub.
The pub opened to the public on Friday 15th July with it’s ‘Launch Party’ and the reaction has been fantastic with everyone loving the transformation!
