Blind Tiger Inns never stop, and alongside our pub estate we run Blind Tiger Brew Co, an event bar experience business, which this weekend had a phenomenal local event at the 4th annual ChorFest.
Working closely with event organisers, Event Chorley Ltd, headed up by Neil Hailwood, the growing festival takes place each year in the picturesque setting of Astley Park.
3 days of music and tribute acts, combined with family entertainment and local food vendors always ensures an epic event, with thousands of revellers visiting over the weekend and enjoying the sounds of the likes of Abba, Take That and a Blind Tiger favourite, Taylor Swift!
Neil Hailwood spoke highly of our team saying;
“Credit to all the Blind Tiger Inns team; you came to provide the bars and keep people refreshed, but you always do so much more than that, every year you continue to exceed expectations and I continue to let you down with the weather. Was great to see you all over the weekend”
Many of the head office team, along with front of house teams from our pubs work at the event, and this year we took our amazing new bar, The Juice Joint to the festival for its first outing on the park. This bar has been used by Brew Co since April, both for our own events and dry hire to other festival operators. It was purpose built to our specification and not only looks sensational, but also is extra functional, meaning rapid speed of service and happy punters.
Alongside the Juice Joint we also had our signature Defender bar which always creates a buzz. The converted Land Rover defender has 8 beer taps on the side and served the festival goers with a range of drinks including local craft beers. A particular favourite over the weekend was from our incredible local brewery Rivington Brew Co. Their latest beer, Home from Holmes is a collaboration with Cuckoo gin distillery, also just a couple of miles from our head office. Serving a beer at a local festival, brewed in collaboration by two of our local suppliers is pretty cool, and the customers thought so too.
We are sure to be pouring plenty more of this amazing beer next weekend when we will be back in Astley Park providing bars for Chorley Flower Show. This will be our third year supporting Chorley Council in this event. As well as providing bars, we also create one of the main attractions of the event with a PIMMS garden. With picket fences and hay bale seating, the garden is always popular and sets us out from other bar providers. We don’t simply turn up with a bar and some beers, we turn up with a goal of creating an incredible experience for visitors to the event.
Our Blind Tiger Brew Co team have a packed calendar this year, however if you have any last minute needs or are planning events in 2025 then you should check out our dedicated website
