Every year, we add to the number of teams we sponsor across our pubs and this year has been a record year of sponsorship money paid out to grass-root teams across the Northwest.
In the last month, we have paid out £10,000 in sponsorship and most of these are new teams as well as some long-standing relationships. We’re pleased to be a new sponsor of Longridge FC who kicked off their season at the end of July and our managers from The Towneley were there to witness their first win this season!
We’ve also sponsored Aigburth Arms FC over £1,000 this season and had a brand-new advertising board installed at their ground which our manager from the Aigburth, Louise had the pleasure of unveiling.
As well as football teams, we’ve also sponsored a local rugby team for the first year at the Argyll & Sutherland in Eastham. Anselmians RUFC have received over £2,000 in sponsorship money which will pay for kit, pre-match, windbreakers and training balls.
Managing director, Chris Tulloch commented on this year’s sponsorship:
“It’s something we pride ourselves on massively supporting all the grass-root teams that we do across the Northwest and there’s nothing more that I like to see our money go towards.
Our long-standing relationships with teams like Euxton Villa will continue to flourish while we also support all the new teams that have approached us for sponsorship.
We’re really excited to build on these relationships and host as many events in our pubs as possible for all the teams. It’s a partnership so while we will aways support with funds, we expect their custom in return which I know we will get.”
