The Castle pub in Clitheroe has gone from strength to strength since it opened last July and this was recognised on Tuesday when they won an award for ‘Creative Tourism’ at the Ribble Valley Stars in Tourism Awards 2026!
The awards are designed to recognise the outstanding achievements, creativity and innovation that continue to shape the Ribble Valley’s reputation as one of the North West’s most distinctive and welcoming destinations.
The Castle is a landmark venue in the heart of Clitheroe and the refurbishment last July aimed to protect its heritage while also bringing it up to date with a bold renovation, striking interior, enhanced outdoor areas and an upgraded bar and cellar infrastructure.
The investment paid off as customers old and new have been flocking to the pub ever since, propelling it into the spotlight and resulting in their first award after being open for less than 12 months yet!
Michelle, manager of The Castle commented on their win:
“We turned up at Eaves Hall on Tuesday not expecting to win an award, we were blown away that we were even nominated, never mind winners! Everything we do at the pub is because we are so passionate about providing the best community pub, events and experience for our customers and to have that recognised is special to us!
The renovations that Blind Tiger Inns did last July ensured that the pub was firmly back on the map and we have just continued to provide a stand-out experience for our customers ever since then. We’re loving every second running this pub and we can’t wait for all our plans over the next few months to come to life!
