Blind Tiger Inns takes on 16th Pub

The Station in Preston becomes the 16th pub in the Blind Tiger Inns estate after being refurbished for two weeks and opening on Friday 14th February. Opposite Preston Train Station and next to the Fishergate Shopping Centre, the pub expects to be popular for shoppers, football fans and commuters due to it’s City Centre location and proximity to the train station.

The project included exterior and interior works that will maximise the pubs potential. The outside work renovated the pubs exterior increasing it’s curb side appeal as well as creating a new alfresco area at the rear of the pub.

Inside the pub was completely transformed, creating a contemporary look with lots of new furnishings and previously wasted space now being utilised effectively. To provide maximum sports viewing experience, the pub was kitted out various HD TV screens equipped with Sky and BT Sports as well as a high-spec audio system. The pub also has a top of the range contact-less pool table, darts area and jukebox making it the perfect place to spend the afternoon!

As well as a refurbishment, the pub has undergone a product re-haul, introducing a variety of cask and craft ales and premium lagers, wines and spirits. The entertainment schedule has been modernised with live singers on Friday from 5pm and Saturday afternoons and evenings. A variety of offers including the ‘After-work Social’, ‘Whitley Wednesdays’ and ‘Student Thursdays’ have also been introduced to appeal to a wider audience.

Chris Tulloch, Managing Director of Blind Tiger Inns commented: “I am super pleased with how this project has gone. The pub looks amazing and I am really excited to see how the new things we have planned for this venue will pan out. People tend to think of wet-led pubs as declining but if you provide a great environment and experience like we do, then it’s a buoyant market.”
