‘Walk in, dance out’ is the famous motto at the Chestergate pub in Stockport and this is certainly what the customers did when they enjoyed the launch party last Friday following a major transformation.
The highly anticipated ‘glow up’ received lots of positive feedback from customers who absolutely love the new look! The pub remains a vibrant hub for the community with all its classic karaoke sessions on but in a nicer, more spacious setting.
The layout of the pub has been completely transformed with the bar moving from behind the pillars to the bottom of the pub where it is much more visible and accessible. While the previous bar area has been transformed into seating booths that are now being booked out for parties and special occasions!
An interactive darts board has been added as well as a cluster of HD TVs above the seating areas; perfect for ultimate sport viewing. Much to everyone’s delight, the toilets have also seen a massive overhaul and the general feel of the pub has improved ten-fold.
A homage to ‘Queen Molly’ can also be found in the pub which has pleased many customers and fans from all over the world!
Steph Armstrong, Manager of the Chestergate commented on the transformation:
“We’re all so impressed with the changes and everyone loves what we have done! The biggest change has been the relocation of the bar which now makes it much easier for everyone to get served.
The main area of the pub has been totally opened up, making more space for dancing and singing which is of course, what we are famous for! We’ve had the best launch weekend we could have asked for and I can’t wait to see what the rest of 2026 brings!”
