Fresh off the plane last night, there are still some sore heads today after our team spent another epic 48 hours in Berlin! Split over two consecutive weeks, 20 of our team took a trip to enjoy Germany’s capital and what an amazing time both groups had!
To celebrate Oktoberfest, the groups left Manchester at midday to arrive in Berlin late afternoon ready to spend their first evening in boujee cocktails venues and crazy karaoke bars; Tipsy Bear was quite the experience!
After a night on the town, the morning began at Germany’s most famous monument and one of the only places that withstood bombing during the war, the Brandenburg Gate. The team had a 2-hour guided tour around Berlin visiting important historical sites, the Berlin wall and finishing at Checkpoint Charlie!
Later on the teams took to Berlin’s oldest beer hall, Hofbrau Wirtshaus where they enjoyed hours of 1L beers and traditional German cuisine. The Weiners and sauerkraut weren’t to everyone’s taste but the Oktoberfest beer and entertainment were top class!
On the final day the teams travelled to Germany’s east side to see the East Side Gallery before finishing up the iconic TV Tower where they enjoyed one final drink before taking the train back to the airport to travel home!
Martin Lambe, Manager of the Station Preston said:
“Berlin tigers 2024 what an incredible trip! We have laughed, cried, drank, drank some more, learnt some history and bonded as a team! Thank you for a super organised and fun trip and huge thanks to the boss, the credit card has well and truly been melted!”
Mandy Schon, Manager of the Halfway House also commented:
Thank you for all the hard work organising everything and for a fab few days. We had a great trip and time together, it was a pleasure.”
Amy Cutler, Marketing Manager commented on the trip:
“It’s been an honour to take our team members international for all their hard work during the Euros which is why they were rewarded with this incredible trip. We bonded further and didn’t stop laughing. It was great to have a mixture of managers that have been with us since the beginning as well as newer managers who now know how awesome it is to work for Blind Tiger Inns!!”
