You may not heard of it before but here at Blind Tiger Inns, we’ll create an opportunity out of anything we can and ‘Galentines Day’ was no exception! The day, which falls on the 13th February is a celebration of female friendship, and we came up with an idea to get people together on what normally would be a quiet Tuesday night at our pub in Euxton, The Talbot.
To celebrate the day, the pub teamed up with local florist, Aspen & Ivy to put on a floral masterclass. The two-hour masterclass taught them how to create the perfect hand tied bouquet that they got to take home with them at the end of the session plus some prosecco to keep them hydrated over the two hours!
Tickets were priced at £35pp and limited to 20 people but sold out in just a couple of days! After the success of the wreath making last Christmas, everyone was eager to work alongside Aspen & Ivy again as they are a very popular florist in the local area. Jenna and her team brought an array of flowers to choose from and taught everyone how to build their bouquet gradually into a beautiful display. It was a successful evening and everyone was extremely happy with their bouquets!
Owner of Aspen & Ivy, Jenna commented on the floral masterclass:
“It was such a fab evening, and everyone seemed to enjoy it! I love doing them and would like to come back and do a spring workshop. There’s a wreath on my door all year round so I know there would definitley be interest in it!”
Marketing Manager, Amy also spoke about the event:
“It’s great to see such different events happening within our pubs that people are enjoying and gaining new skills from. One of our goals this year is to continue creating stand-out experiences for our customers and teaming up with local businesses to do this.
Our next event at the Talbot is a ‘Mother’s Day Bottomless Brunch’ and we’ll be working alongside local Mediterranean inspired eatery, ‘Time for Mezze’ to provide the food for it. It’s going to be another fantastic event with many more to come throughout the year!
