A new mural depicting the late Sir Bobby Charlton has been painted on The Trafford pub, a stones throw from Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United. The piece of artwork was commissioned after he passed away on 21st October as it seemed like the perfect time to honour the footballing legend that made 758 appearances for Manchester United and won the 1966 World Cup with England.
The mural was painted by graffiti artist, Jano, who has an impressive portfolio, and is responsible for multiple pieces of artwork across the Blind Tiger Inns estate also. The mural of Sir Bobby complements the huge murals already created by Jano in the beer garden since Blind Tiger took over the Trafford pub.
The mural was completed on Tuesday 14th November, the day after Sir Bobby’s funeral and has been praised by various local news outlets, along with Manchester United themselves, with hundreds of thousands of likes across their social media platforms.

Graffiti artist, Jano also commented:
