April saw Blind Tiger Inns complete their 3rd refurbishment of 2023 at the White Horse in Irlam.
The refurbishment has seen a complete transformation of the popular Manchester pub, with works completed internally, externally and a full makeover of the beer garden, which looks incredible and is a real sun trap.
The theme of the refurbishment is one that has been adopted in the early part of this year at Blind Tiger and is proving very popular. We have taken a traditional community local pub and added a real on-trend spin to it. Externally, a graffiti mural covering the complete gable end has proven popular with local residents.
The graffiti continues into the pub where the stylish décor incorporates with a flower wall and neon lighting features.
The transformation has been completed in just one week with a spend of £75,000 which we hope will help inject some extra life into what is already a thriving community pub. The investment which is in partnership with Star Pubs, takes the total invested in the existing Blind Tiger estate to over £1/4 million year-to-date.
Following on from this project, there are 2 projects currently in legals that will be completed in Q3 and another 2 or 3 potential sites in discussions with various parties.
Chris Tulloch, Managing Director of Blind Tiger Inns tells us more about the plans;
“We continually invest in our pub estate with a relatively static plan of each individual pub having a major refurbishment every 5 years. We have kept to this plan since we began and it appears to work with us constantly improving our customer experience, turnover and profit conversion.”
About future plans, Chris continues;
“We have added pubs to our estate every year since we began, and although we will never try to be the biggest, or aspire to have a specific number of pubs, we have a fantastic operations team and will always look to add quality, exciting venues to our estate.”
